Seaver
Associates was set up in 1991 by Dr Matt Seaver, and since then has
worked with numerous companies and organisations in a wide variety of sectors, including food,
engineering and public services, assisting them to achieve compliance with standards
such as ISO 9001, BRC Global Food Standard Issue 6, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Matt spent many years as a
quality manager in manufacturing and learned the importance of having simple
procedures. He can give you practical help to set up a quality management
system that is effective in improving your performance.
In 2000 he
was commissioned by Gower Publishing Ltd to produce the definitive textbook on
the ISO 9000 standards, and this achieved wide acclaim |

Our role in the development of ISO 9000
Matt
has wide experience in the development of standards, having been
a member of several standads-producing bodies, including ISO Technical
Committee 176 (ISO 9000 series), the British Standards Institution
(BSI) working group that
developed the OHSAS 18001 series, and the NSAI working group that
produced SWiFT 3000 (Corporate Governance). In 2010 he chaired the
NSAI-appointed working group that produced SWiFT 7 (Environmental
parameters for bagged coal).
Matt
has
been an expert member of ISO Technical Committee 176 since 1992, and
has been deeply involved in producing the text of the 1994, 2000
and 2008 revisions of the ISO 9000 series of standards.
